Panhandle Cup.
The Panhandle Cup is a 2-day competition. Each match is worth 1 point. Matches
that end all square are halved and each team receives .5 points. A total of 24
matches are played and 12.5 points are required to win the Cup. The prize is the
Panhandle Cup and it is presented to the winning team. The Cup is retained by
the winning team until the opening day of competition for the next Panhandle
Cup. Display location for the Cup is determined by the Team Coordinator. Caddies
are allowed but are not mandatory. Electric and pull carts are not allowed. The
format mirrors that of the Ryder and Solheim Cup competitions and is as follows:
Day 1 Morning – Foursomes (Alternate Shot – 6 matches) Afternoon – Four Ball
(Better Ball – 6 matches) All 24 players compete in the morning and afternoon
matches. Day 2 Morning – Singles (12 matches) All 24 players compete.
